April and Nic’s special day was at Kingsbrook Estate, a breathtaking property at Currency Creek on the Fleurieu Penisula, South Australia.
They said their vowels in the lovely old stone building used for ceremonies and partied in the white marquee.
April and Nic were relaxed and glowing with joy, I felt so happy to get to know them and capture their wedding, a super fun day and a favourite venue to shoot at.
They met competing at rival Surf Life Saving clubs. After a comp, Nic tried to track down April’s number from a few of the guys from her surf club but they refused to pass along my number to him as he was seen as the “enemy” !
Eventually they became good friends before dating. At first they didn’t want to be seen to be “fraternizing with the enemy”. Nic persisted and made April see that they could make it work !
